An 18th Century pedal harp made by Renault et Chatelain Paris from the period Louis XVI circa 1791. This was the heaviest fighting times of the French Revolution and furniture from this time is rare to find in such condition.
۷ pedal harp with à crochets system with a sculpted staff of acanthus leaves intertwining the top flowing down the arche.
The mechanics is complete and the harp is in original untouched condition.
This harp made with its sumptuously ornamented style had, at one time, infused the 18th century room that it may have occupied. Being of such stature within the elite, these harps as this one were hand painted, this one having various musical attributions and below with scenes of a young man fishing along the rivers that flowed behind the mill in a delicate country scene.
